ARTIST’S NOTE: With his feature films “Waking Life” and “A Scanner Darkly,” director Richard Linklater helped popularize digital-effects technology (known as “interpolated rotoscoping”) to animate live-action footage. In visual tribute to those movies, this story about Linklater — one of The Post’s first fully illustrated interviews — loosely mimics that rotoscoped aesthetic. —M.C.
