TV highlights: ‘The Amazing Race’ comes to Friday nights for its 25th cycle

RETURNING SHOW: “The Amazing Race” (CBS at 8 p.m.) Season 25 begins with 11 new teams in Times Square, where, for the first time ever, they learn that the duo who wins the first leg of the race will receive the potentially game-altering “Save,” which allows them one chance to be last but not eliminated. The first challenge comes after a flight to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
