Ensemble Caprice, a Montreal-based baroque group, offered an entertaining program of Latin American music spanning the 16th to the 18th centuries on Friday at the Library of Congress. Soprano Shannon Mercer and five instrumentalists took us on a tour through an almost completely unknown — but delightful — repertoire by such composers as Andrea Falconieri, Santiago de Murcia, Juan García de Zéspedes and others.
