Obama awards Medal of Freedom to diverse group of activists, artists, scientists

President Obama awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the nation’s highest civilian honor — to a diverse and distinguished group of activists, artists, scientists and public servants Monday afternoon, including actress Meryl Streep, Congressman John D. Dingell, physicist Mildred Dresselhaus and musician Stevie Wonder.
